Tamboran Resources Corporation has set a new gas flow-rate record in the Beetaloo Sub-basin, marking a major milestone for the Northern Territory’s energy sector and economic growth.
The company’s Shenandoah South 2H sidetrack well delivered an exceptional average flow rate of 7.2 million cubic feet per day over a 1,671 metre section of the Mid Velkerri B Shale.
This result is the highest reported rate from the basin to date and significantly strengthens the prospect of Tamboran’s first commercial gas sales from the Beetaloo by mid-2026.
The achievement is a strong demonstration of the Beetaloo Sub-basin’s potential as a world-class onshore gas resource.
Tamboran plans to drill three additional wells this year, further advancing the project.
